Permissions

Control who can use the Bynder fields and who can change the plugin settings.

The plugin adds two permissions to Strapi’s admin roles.

Permission Allows
Read Viewing the Bynder configuration page and selecting assets with the Bynder fields
Settings Changing the portal URL, language and picker theme

Set them

  1. Open Settings, then Administration Panel, then Roles.
  2. Choose a role, for example Editor.
  3. Open the Plugins section and expand bynder-media-library.
  4. Tick Read, and Settings for roles that should configure the plugin.
  5. Save.

A typical setup gives editors Read only, and administrators both.

The public API is separate

These permissions are for the admin panel. Whether your website can read the content that holds Bynder URLs is controlled by Strapi’s normal API permissions: either a Public role with find and findOne, or an API token.
