Settings and picker theme
Configure the portal, the language, the select button and the colours of the Bynder picker from the Strapi admin.
Open Settings in the Strapi admin, then Bynder plugin, then Configuration.
General settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Portal URL | Your Bynder portal, for example your-company.getbynder.com |
| Language | The language of the picker, for example en_US |
Values saved here override config/plugins.ts.
Select button
The Select button section styles the button editors see in the content form, before the Bynder picker opens. A live preview under the settings shows the result as you change them.
| Setting | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Label | One text per admin language (English, French, Arabic). A language left blank shows the default text in that language. | blank |
| Style | Filled, Outlined, Soft, Text only | Filled |
| Size | Small, Medium, Large | Medium |
| Full width | Yes or no | Yes |
| Bynder icon | Show the Bynder mark in the button | Yes |
The label follows the language each editor chose for the Strapi admin, so a French editor sees the French label. The plugin itself is translated into English, French and Arabic.
The field that holds several assets has its own button text, “Add assets”, and does not use the label above. Its style, size and icon follow these settings.
This is the plugin’s own button, so it follows your Strapi admin theme. The colours in Picker theme below apply only inside the picker.
Picker theme
The Picker Theme section brands the picker. Leave a colour blank to keep Bynder’s default. Any CSS colour is accepted.
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Button color | Primary buttons, focus ring and selections |
| Button color (hover) | Hover fill and border |
| Button color (active) | Pressed fill and border (falls back to the hover colour) |
| Button label color | Text on buttons |
| Button label color (hover) | Text on buttons while hovered |
Restore defaults
Restore default settings discards what was saved in the admin and goes back to the values in config/plugins.ts.
